CÉILI AFRO DABKE (World music Céilí) | What Next Festival, Limerick  [Feb 8, 2020]

Dance Limerick and What Next Festival will host CÉILÍ AFRO DABKE, Sat Feb 8th to close the WHAT NEXT Festival. The evening will kick off with a performance from The Welcoming Project Limerick - who have been working with Catherine Young during Jan & Feb on an African dance & Palestinian Dabke piece. It will be followed by the world music céilí.  Céilí Afro Dabke features African dance, traditional dabke dance from Palestine/Syria and the old style Irish céilí dances. It is open to everyone to come dance and meet folks from all over the world that live in your neighbourhood. No previous dance experience required.   FREE EVENT, ALL WELCOME. More info

CYD | THE WELCOMING PROJECT will perform their new work "Le Chéile" at KFEST, May 31, 7pm @ CYMS Hall, Killorglin before kicking off another CÉILI AFRO DABKE. Come join in for some African dance, Dabke and some traditional Irish céilí dances, meet new people from all around the world and enjoy the music, singing and dancing from some or Ireland's top musicians. CYD | THE WELCOMING PROJECT will premiere their new work "Le Chéile" at Féile Na Bealtaine, May 5, 6pm @ The Hillgrove, Dingle before kicking off another CÉILI AFRO DABKE. Come join in for some African dance, Dabke and some traditional Irish céilí dances, meet new people from all around the world and enjoy the music, singing and dancing from some or Ireland's top musicians.
